Scott “Cheese” Gusakov

Callsign “Cheese” and flying out of Milan, Michigan, Scott Gusakov is a decorated jet racer and warbird pilot. In 2023, he raced his L-39 Albatros “Tumbling Goose” to victory in the Jet Silver category at the world-famous Reno Air Races.

A semi-retired engineer with a love for all things mechanical, “Cheese” has been flying jet warbirds in airshows since 2019. When not flying or rebuilding L-39 engines, Scott enjoys spending time with his longtime girlfriend and their Border Collie, Tesla.

Scott joined FIGHTERRJETS INC in 2024, bringing his precision flying and passion for aviation history to the team’s formation jet demonstrations across the U.S.
