Jerod Flohr
Jerod Flohr is a highly accomplished professional pilot and career instructor with more than 14,000 hours of flight time. Known for his calm cockpit leadership and deep technical expertise, Jerod has built a reputation for blending precision flying with a passion for mentorship and aviation excellence.
With over 7,000 hours of dual instruction given, Jerod specializes in aerobatic, warbird, and tailwheel training. He has instructed in a wide range of aircraft, including the Decathlon, Pitts, and Extra series for aerobatics, as well as high-performance platforms such as the Piper Meridian, TBM 900, PC-6/PC-12, Phenom 300, and Citation Mustang. His instructional approach emphasizes safety, professionalism, and advanced pilot development.
Jerod entered the airshow world at just 25 years old flying the Extra 300L and has since become a dynamic performer known for precision and energy. He currently flies the TA-4 Skyhawk on the airshow circuit, delivering a powerful jet warbird demonstration that captivates audiences across the country.
A dedicated warbird pilot, Jerod is jet-qualified in aircraft including the L-39, MiG-15, MiG-17, S-211, and A-4 Skyhawk. His piston warbird experience includes the T-28 Trojan, T-6 Texan, BT-13, and PT-19, reflecting a deep connection to aviation heritage.
Beyond flying, Jerod is the founder of the Aviator Journey Foundation, an organization committed to advancing pilot training opportunities beyond the traditional path. He is also a long-time volunteer with the Vietnam War Flight Museum in Houston, where he supports warbird operations and helps train the next generation of pilots.
