FIGHTERJETS INC, based out of Tyler, Texas, was founded by Randy W. Ball in 2001. Randy had been flying warbirds for 11 years prior to forming FIGHTERJETS INC. He wanted to provide the airshow community with a premier group of pilots and jets for the airshow public! Randy has 2000 plus hours in the MiG and had his 1800 show in October 2024! Bill Culberson was brought on board in 2015, bringing over 700 hours of experience flying Soviet jets and currently 500 hours in MiGs. He brings his talents in flying the MiG-17, as well as his T-33, to the team. Culberson is based out of Mobile, Alabama, helping the team reach the East Coast. Michael Terfer joined the FIGHTERJETS team in 2018 with decades of aerobatic experience in the MiG-17, MiG-15, CT-33, and L-39! He calls Traverse City home, tying the North American region to the show circuit. If you’ve seen some of the epic formation flying of the MiG-17, then you’ve likely also seen Scott Gusakov. Scott calls the Milan, Michigan home and has joined Randy, Bill, and Michael in performing multiple formation flights, including the first official 4-ship MiG-17 demo at Barksdale AFB in 2025!
